Welcome to the Longfins Website. The Longfins are the largest freediving club on the east coast formed in 1998 by Nelson Alvarez, Manny Diaz, George Gonzalez (Speedy), and Tony Marcuccino. Currently, the president elected to his 2nd term is Carlos R. Ortega. The Longfins have attended the last seven Nationals. 1999- Florida Keys, 2000- California,  2001- Tarpon Springs, Florida; 2002 Carmel, California, 2003 Jamestown, Rhode Island, 2004    Haleiwa, Hawaii, Nationals in Missouri 2005; and now on July 19, 2006 we hosted our 1st Nationals at Pompano Beach Florida.

The Longfins were organized as a Freediving Spearfishing organization. The purpose of the club is to promote and encourage the sport of free diving, underwater hunting, safety, and to bring to it's members the sound benefits and pleasures from organized activity. The club meets at Outdoor World in Dania off I-95 every third Monday of the month, at 7:30 pm. Come and Join Us!
